240 square metres in Milan. A young family: two adults, two children, a shared life that moves between discipline and inspiring disorder. The brief arrived already formed — not in words, but in the way the clients understood space. She carries a lineage of structural thinking; he collects art the way others collect certainties. Together they knew what they wanted, even before they could experience it.
The existing concrete columns and beams were only cleaned; the original heating pipes kept and painted Klein blue. Everything else was built in conversation with them — stainless steel, raw oak, microcement floors that hold light without reflecting it. In the evening, a bare wall receives a film. In the end, the geometric voids the structure left behind became something else entirely: a playground for two.
